Abi & Austyn tied the knot at Tournerbury Woods Estate on Hayling Island. I had the privilege of photographing their memorable day.
A Dreamy Venue
When I scouted the venue for Abi & Austyn's wedding, I felt excitement. The decked and covered area outside was perfect for alfresco ceremonies. The scenery is truly picturesque. There were numerous spots for group shots and couple photos. I felt spoiled for choice! I took the opportunity to get my drone up in the air and captured a stunning bird's-eye view of the venue, along with the coastline stretching out beautifully.
Weather Wonders
When the big day arrived, the weather forecast seemed ominous. However, the rain held off during bridal prep. Miraculously, the sun emerged just before the ceremony. With a larger-than-usual group shot list, we seized the opportunity to take a few shots before meeting the registrars. This helped alleviate pressure later in the day.
A Beautiful Bride
Abi looked elegant in her stunning off-the-shoulder satin gown. Austyn complemented her with his dapper attire. During the signing of the register, their daughter got to sign her name on her own paperwork. This was such a lovely touch and a memory she will cherish forever.
Touching Speeches
The speeches were truly memorable. Abi and Austyn expressed their love for each other and their beautiful daughter. It was evident just how much they cared for one another. At one point, there did not seem to be a dry eye in the room. I must confess, I was a bit glassy-eyed myself!
Golden Hour Bliss
My favorite part of the day happened about an hour before sunset. I was blessed with the golden hour light. We took full advantage of this beautiful moment. Strolling through each pre-scouted spot, we captured stunning images that reflected their love.
Fun at the Photobooth
Throughout the day and evening, we added a little surprise for the guests. Abi shared her idea for a collage made with a cardboard box as a photobooth. It may sound unconventional, but the end result was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the process. It added a wonderful layer of fun to their special day!
Enchanting Evening
As the evening came to a close, I took the couple out for one last shot. I had my sights set on a gazebo. I envisioned a magical picture. Using off-camera flash and some creative lighting, I illuminated both the gazebo and the couple. The result was enchanting and will be a cherished memory.
